St George's College is excited to announce the formation of two new Chapel Choirs for 2018! The Girls' Choir, for ages 8-17, will provide a wonderful educational opportunity normally afforded to boys through the cathedral system, whilst the College Chapel Choir, for university students and recent graduates, will play a vital role in the College's cultural life. Both choirs will perform regular services in the beautiful chapel, as well as participating in concerts, special events, and outreach projects throughout the year.

Christophe Karas - Choir Master
Christophe is the Director of Music at St George's College, having recently returned from the UK, where he was awarded his Master of Music degree (Choral Studies) from The University of Cambridge. Christophe has worked with some of the UK and Australia's leading choirs and orchestras as singer, conductor, and violinist. He has held the position of Director of Music at St Mark's, Cambridge, as well as Christ Church, Claremont. Prior to this, he was a chorister and Lay Clerk at St George's Cathedral, Perth, and a regular conductor of the Giovanni Consort. Christophe has worked as choral director for the Perth Choral Institute and UWA Summer Music Academy, and is passionate about creating a culture of exceptional choral music at St George's College.
Vocal Mentor (Girls' Choir) - Brianna Louwen
Brianna is a professional Soprano from Perth, Western Australia, and has recently completed a Masters in Solo Voice Ensemble Singing at the University of York (UK). She has won various awards as a soloist and sings in many of Perth’s professional choirs. in the UK she has toured with ensembles such as I Fagiolini, the Carice Singers, the Willow Consort, and the 24, and has appeared as a soloist with the Royal Northern Sinfonia in Mozart’s Requiem. Brianna has been a singing teacher for many years, currently tutoring with the Perth Choral Institute, and with WASO in their Crescendo Education programme.
